NOCES À LISE, LES. French-Canadian, Reel (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The tune was recorded by Montreal fiddler and music shop owner J.O. Albert LaMadeleine (1905-1986). The first strain is cognate with the American tunes "Fire in the Log," AKA "Possum up the Gum Stump," "Who Shit in Grandpa's Hat," although the second strains are not related.
