NORTH COUNTRY STYLE, THE. Scottish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed in 1934 by Aberdeen fiddler and composer J. Murdoch Henderson (1902-1972), who has been called one of the greatest exponents of the Scottish fiddle in the 20th century. Henderson dedicated the tune to John Pirie, a violinist from Fraserburgh, Scotland.
