NOWELLA BALLANDOISE. Scottish, Jig (6/8 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. The tune has melodic and harmonic resemblance to the duple time country dance tunes "Belle Halimande (La)" and "Suze (La)," which, while appearing in Lowland Scottish publications, would seem to have a French provenance.
