OLD CONCERTINA REEL [1], THE. AKA and see "Brooklyn Lasses," "John Kelly's Reel," "Kerry Reel (2)." Irish, Reel. E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. A different tune than "Old Concertina Reel (2) (The)/Concertina Reel (The)" which is sometimes called "The New Concertina Reel" to help differentiate the two. Kevin Burke's title for the reel on his album "As the Cap Fits" is "A Kerry Reel." The melody is related to "Brooklyn Lasses" in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883).
