OLD CROSSROADS, THE. AKA - "Old Cross (The)." AKA and see "Clans (The)," "Doon the Brae," "Down the Brae," "March of the Clans (2)." Irish, March (4/4 time). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. A march generally believed to be Scottish in origin, but also played in County Fermanagh and Donegal. Provenance, however, has been elusive. See note for "Annotation:Doon the Brae" for more.
