OLD DICKSON'S REEL. American, Reel (2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Elias Howe's source for the tune is unknown, but the syncopations stylistically place it to the latter 19th century (prior to 1880, when it was published). The syncopation in the second strain of "Old Dickson's" are very similar to those in modern Acadian style playing.
