OLD FRISCO. American, Reel (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABA. "Old Frisco" was composed by blackface minstrel musician and composer George H. Coes, who performed with several minstrel organizations based in San Francisco in the 1850's and would be well acquainted with the early days of the city.
