OLD SWINNIE. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Southwest Va. In the repertoire of Fiddlin' Cowan Powers 1877-1952? (Russell County, Va.) and recorded by him with his family band for Victor in August, 1924, but unissued (Matrix #B-30579). The family band consisted of James Cowan Powers (violin), Orpha Powers (mandolin), Charlie Powers (banjo), Carrie Powers (guitar), and Ada Powers (ukulele).
