OLD VIRGINIA MARCH. Old-Time, March. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The march comes from Civil War fifer Isom (or Isham) Cockram (1831-1929, Patrick County, Va.) who began a family fife-and-drum band with his sons in the latter 18th century. His tunes have been in martial tradition in that county since that time.
