ORIGINAL CANADIAN HOEDOWN. Canadian, American; Breakdown. USA, northwestern USA. A Major ('A' part) & E Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The first strain is the same as the American old-time tune "Little Billy Wilson/Billy Wilson (1)." The key change in the second part is a feature of many Canadian fiddle tunes. Also very similar to the Missouri tune A and E Rag.
Source for notated version: Joe Pancerzewski (1905-1991, northeastern USA), the 'fiddling engineer,' who learned the tune at the Queensland Ballroom, Regina, Saskatchewan, in 1932.
