OVER THE SEA [1]. American, Reel (4/4 time). The tune, which goes back and forth between a lyrical piece and a breakdown, is sourced to fiddler Bill Chitwood. It was recorded in New York in November, 1924, by fiddler Bill Chitwood, backed by banjo player Bud Landress. The two were also members of the group the Georgia Yellow Hammers.
