OZARK RAG. American, Country Rag (cut time). USA, Texas. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCAADD (Brody): AA'BB'CC' (Phillips). The ragtime "Ozark Rag" was recorded in Dallas, Texas, in November, 1930, by the East Texas Serenaders, a string band from in and around Mineola, Texas, consisting (at that time) of Daniel Williams (fiddle), Cloet Hammon (guitar), John Munnerlyn (tenor banjo), and Henry Bogan (cello). Bluegrass mandolinist Bill Monroe also composed an "Ozark Rag," but it is a different tune.
