PADDY SCANLON’S. AKA and see “I Looked East and I Looked West,” “Martin Mulvihill's Polka.” Irish, Polka. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Paddy Scanlon was a musician from the Kerry/Limerick border area. The tune appears in the collection of New York fiddler and teacher Martin Mulvihill (1919-1987), originally from Glin in west County Limerick. Julia Clifford recorded the tune under the alternate title "I Looked East and I Looked West."
