"Pat Feeney's Reel" was in the repertory of fiddler Erskine Morris (1912-1997), originally from Douglastown, eastern Gaspé, Québec. The tune is a fairly faithful version of "Reel de la Beauce," as recorded by Montréal fiddler Jean Carignan on the 1975 documentary Jean Carignan, violoneux (National Film Board of Canada).
