PAT McNULTY'S FANCY. Irish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Irish piper Pat McNulty [1], who lives in Glasgow, Scotland. McNulty advocates tunes be played at a slower tempo than is currently fashionable, that slow airs and marches not be diminished in the repertoire, and that attention should be refocused on the "leisured individualistic interpretation" of melodies rather than the present "band" focus in Irish traditional music.
