PATOKA WALTZ. American, Waltz. USA, Indiana. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Ken Smelser, named for a river in southern Indiana. Ken, a fiddler, and his brother Vern (b. 1910, Blountsville, Ind.), a singer and guitar player, were born to a musical family of German descent.
