PATTY MALONE. American, Reel (cut time). G Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Patty Malone" was a reel in the repertoire of fiddler Street Butler of Elkton, Todd County, southwest Kentucky, recorded in the field by Bruce Greene in January, 1976. The tune goes to the mixolydian mode in the third measure of each strain, but resolves in the major key at the cadence.
