PETE MARKER. American, Schottische. USA, Arizona. D Major ('A' part) & G Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). Arizona fiddler Kenner C. Kartchner said: "Pete and his son Solon played for dances in Snowflake-Holbrook (Arizona) vicinity about 1893. Local fiddlers learned some of their tunes" (Shumway, Frontier Fiddler, 1990). A Solon Marker was a miner and freight operator in Arizona around the turn of the 20th century.
