PIGEON ON THE PIER [1]. AKA and see "Pigeon on the Gatepost." Canadian; Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Copyright is assigned to Canadian fiddler Jim Magill by the Jarman publishing company. The tune was played as "Pigeon on the Pier" by Bill, Laury and Francis Cormier, a trio of brothers who all played for George Wade’s Cornhuskers, an extremely popular Canadian dance ensemble of the thirties and forties.
