The melody and dance instructions appear in the third and fourth (last) editions of The Second Volume of the Dancing Master, issued in 1718 and 1728 by publisher John Young, heir to the Playford publishing concerns in London. It also was published by John Walsh, Sr. and Jr., in The Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master, editions of 1719 and 1754.
