PINE GROVE BLUES. Cajun, Country Blues (4/4 time). USA, southwestern Louisiana. E Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. The song was a regional hit recording for Louisiana accordion player Nathan Abshire, released in 1949, and was based on Amede Breaux's "Blues de Petit Chien (Le)" and Columbus Frugé’s "Tite négresse."
