PIPE REEL [1]. AKA and see "Soldier's Dance (2) (The)." Scottish, Pipe Reel (cut time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Fr. John Quinn finds cognates as "Soldier's Dance (2) (The)" in the c. 1880's music manuscript collection of Co. Leitrim musician Stephen Grier (c. 1824-1894), and the closely related "Captain Ross (2)" and less closely related "Lowlander's Hunt (The)."
