POCKAR, THE. Irish, Hornpipe (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. The Hornpipe was composed by County Cavan button accordion player Martin Donohoe during the 2006 Comhaltas tour of Ireland. It was named after the song "An Poc ar Buille," a favorite of County Cork singer Seán Ó Sé who sang it on the tour, with Donohoe calling it "The Pockar."
