POLICEMAN, THE. English, Jig. England, Northumberland. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune appears twice on the same page (in the key of 'C' and then in 'D') in the mid-19th century music manuscript collection of William Hall Lister and Robert Lister (East Bolden, Northumberland).
