POLKA FOUR. Old-time, Polka. The tune was recorded for Brunswick Records in New York in June, 1929, by the West Virginia duo the Kessinger Brothers. Clark Kessinger (1896-1975) and Luches Kessinger (1906-1944) were not brothers but were uncle and nephew. Clark Kessinger had a number of marches and polkas in his repertoire, along with more traditional tunes. The record was issued in Canada with the Kessingers being billed as "Les Deux Gastesiens."
