PORTRUSH (Port Rois). AKA and see "Humors of Portrush," "Slip Jig (17)." Scottish, Irish; Slip Jig. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Portrush [1] is a small seaside resort town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, on the County Londonderry border. A cognate but very distanced version ("Slip Jig (17)") is to be found as an untitled hop jig from County Clare sourced to Frank Keane and found in George Petrie's collection (parts reversed).
