Irish, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB’. The versions is nearly identical to Ryan’s “Praties are Dug and the Frost is all over (The)." White’s collection appears to have descended from the same publishing firm as Ryan’s Mammoth Collection (1883), namely the Boston based Elias Howe music publishing company, as many of the tunes are identical versions.
