PRETTY LASS. Irish, Air (2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (O’Farrell, O'Neill, Robbins): AB (Joyce). Patrick Weston Joyce [1] (1827-1914) obtained the melody from the manuscript collection of a contemporary, John Edward Pigot (1822–1871) of County Cork, an Irish music collector and lawyer. Joyce’s and O’Farrell’s versions are identical.
