PRINCE ALBERT'S WALTZ. English, Waltz (3/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCC’. There was a "Prince Albert's Waltz with Variations" by J. Knapton advertised in The Musical World (1839, p. 380), and another "Prince Albert's Waltz" by Julia Pellew, Mrs Harward. "Prince Albert's Waltz" was played for Victoria and Albert on the maiden voyage of the steamship Great Britain in 1843, by the band of the Life Guards while some 600 guests and notables sat down to a repast in the pavilion of the vessel.
