PRISONER BOY. American, Reel (cut time). USA, Texas. A Major. AEac# tuning (fiddle). "Prisoner Boy", a fast cross-tuned breakdown, was recorded for Victor Records in October, 1929, in Dallas, Texas, by Fiddlin' Jim Pate (1867, 1935), accompanied on guitar by his son Tom. The tune (backed with "Texas Farewell" was to be their only recording.
