PRUSSIAN’S DANCE. English, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was first published in John Hinton’s Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure (London, 1758). The melody also appears in the music manuscript collection of London musician Thomas Hammersley (1790).
