PUMP ROOM [2], THE. American, Hornpipe or March (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was entered into the American music manuscript copybook of flute player R.B. Washburn (1816-1820). Elias Howe labels the tune a hornpipe, but it also plays like a march.
