QUADRILLE BOUCHARD (deuxième partie) [3]. AKA - "2ème partie du quadrille de l'Île d'Orléans," "Quadrille Bouchard," "Bouchard's Quadrille," "Joe Bouchard's Tune," "Quadrille de L'ile d'Orleans." French-Canadian, Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABA'B'. Composed by Québec fiddler Joseph Bouchard (1905-1979) and recorded by him in 1940 and again in 1975. This is the tune that is usually played as "Quadrille Bouchard" in sessions, and its popularity has transcended regional boundaries. However, there are a number of figures in the quadrille set called "Quadrille Bouchard," and, confusingly, the quadrille is variously played in either four or five figures (parts), and the order varies from player to player.
