QUADRILLE DES LAURENTIDES 4ÈME PARTIE. AKA and see "Canadian Quickstep No. 2," "Reel Charlotte." French-Canadian, Quadrille or Reel (cut or 2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Isidore Soucy recorded this tune several times after this first recording in 1930, in different iterations (sometimes as parts of longer tunes) and titles: "Quadrille du magician" (1936), "Reel Valcartier" (1942), and "Reel des sucres" (1948). Another version of the tune was recorded by Berlin, N.H., fiddler Louis Riendeau in the 1970's as "Louie's First Tune."
