QUEEN OF MAY [1], THE (“Bean-Riog/Bainriogan na M-Bealteine” or “Banríon Bhealtaine”). AKA - " Queen of the May." AKA and see "Belles of South Boston (The)," "Favorite Hornpipe (2)," "Flora (La)," "Pain's First Set of Quadrilles Figure 2," "Pinolara (La)." Irish, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was also recorded by the legendary County Clare piper Leo Rowsome. Researcher Conor Ward finds the tune derivative of "Pain's First Set of Quadrilles Figure 2."
