R. BISHOP'S HORNPIPE. American, Hornpipe (2/4 time). E Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. R. Bishop Buckley was one of the sons of James Buckley, scion to a very influential family of blackface minstrels (which included R. Bishop's siblings, George Swayne and Frederick). The family emigrated from England in 1839 and began their own minstrel company in 1843.
