RABUN GAP. Old-Time. C Major. "Rabun Gap" was recorded as part of the skit "Alabama Square Dance" by Chumbler, Coker and Rice in Long Island, NY, in 1929. Originally from Georgia, the group consisted of fiddler Howard Koker, guitarist Hoke Rice, and mandolinist Archie Lee Chumbler. The tune features a modal 'B' flat chord in the accompaniment.
