RADICAL ROAD. Scottish, Reel (multiple meters). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). "The Radical Road" is the name of a reel composed by Ian MacPhail and a dance choreographed by Stewart Adam in collaboration with Dance Ihayami. It is a fusion of eastern and western traditions inspired by the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. It is named after the scenic Radical Road in Edinburgh which was built in the 18th century to bolster local trade.
