RAEMONA'S WALTZ. AKA - "Ramona Waltz." Canadian, Waltz (3/4 time). Canada, Ontario. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. The waltz was composed by fiddler and composer Brian Herbert of Pembroke, Ontario, for his wife, Raemona. There are a few other 'Raemona/Ramona Waltes'. One popular Latin-tinged one, "Ramona: Waltz Song," was composed by Mabel Wayne (1904-1978) to a lyric by L. Wolfe Gilbert (1886-1970), and published in 1927. It was written for the 1928 photoplay, with Delores Del Rio cast in the role of Ramona.
