RAFFERTY’S MUSTACHE. AKA and see "Katie Taylor," "Mick O'Connor's Reel," "Paddy Taylor's Reel (3)." Irish, Reel. D Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was named for a tonsorial affectation of New Jersey flute player Mike Rafferty for the 1996 recording "The Dangerous Reel." However, it is a composition of London flute player Paddy Taylor (1912-1976) entitled "Katie Taylor."
