"Ragtime Annie [3]" was in the repertory ofCopen, Braxton County, central West Virginia, fiddler Melvin Wine (1909-2003). It is an archaic-sounding modal tune and is musically unrelated to the usual and more popular tune that goes by the title "Ragtime Annie (1)," as played by Texas fiddler Eck Robertson for one.
