RAKES OF SOLLOHOD, THE (Racairí Sulchóid). Irish, Slip Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. See also the variant “Lasses of Solohod (The).” Sollohod, formerly Sulcoit, is a level district near the present Limerick junction, twenty miles from Limerick city. It was the site of a battle with the Danes, from which the hero Brian Boru emerged victorious.
