RALPH PAGE JIG. New England, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Englishman Ken Hillyer, it honors his friend, the New England dance caller Ralph Page. Hillyer was the fiddler in a dance band called The Southerners (1970-1984). The Southerners toured the United States in 1974, primarily to play for Ralph Page at his camp in Keene, New Hampshire and also recorded an LP of tunes played for Page's contra dances (The Southerners - "Play Ralph Page").
