RAMBLER'S RAG. Old-Time, Country Rag. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A fast, bluesy ragtime tune from Bill Boyd's [1] Cowboy Ramblers, and early Western Swing group from Texas, with Art Davis on fiddle. The piece was composed by Davis, and recorded at the Texas Hotel in San Antonio, Texas, in August, 1934. Not to be confused with "Blue Ridge Rambler's Rag," a different tune recorded in 1929 (Brunswick 346) by H.M. Barnes' Blue Ridge Ramblers.
