REEL À TI JEAN. French-Canadian, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Reel à Ti-Jean" is from the playing and teaching of Aimé Gagnon (1921-1997)of St-Louis-de-Lotbinière. Quebec. The name Ti-Jean, or 'Little John', is a term of affection. The influential Montreal fiddler Jean Carignan's nickname was 'Ti-Jean'.
