REEL GAULOIS. French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The reel is Isidore Soucy's reworking of "Buffalo Gals." Soucy researcher Jean Duval finds another Soucy reworking of the same melodic material in his "Reel du jubilé (2)", and notices similarities with the Cajun "Churchpoint Breakdown"[1].
