REEL A LÉVIS. French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Montreal fiddler Jean Carignan[1] (1916-1988) was a native of Lévis. One of Carignan's recordings included other tunes as well in a set entitled "Reel de Lévis," in a hommage to his father; they were all tunes that his father played. See "Favorite Polka (1)" for the second tune in the set.
