REEL DES ESQUIMAUX [1] (Eskimos’ Reel). AKA and see "Reel en Sol d'André Alain (2)," "Reel du Highway." French-Canadian, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA’BB’. The tune is irregular, alternating between measures of 6/4 and 4/4 in the first part. The second part has a measure of 6/4 at the end of the last turn.
Similar to "Reel des Eskimos" AKA "Reel du Highway" (Bluebird 55-5525 {1954}) recorded by fiddler Isidore Soucy on 78 RPM recordings (see "Reel des Esquimaux (2)").
