REEL DU CHÔMAGE (The Unemployment Reel). AKA and see "Quadrille canadien -- 5ème partie," "Quadrille du peuple 5ème partie," "Reel à Ti' père (2)," "Reel de Ste-Blandine (2)." French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Montreal fiddler Isidore Soucy recorded two versions of this tune. The first, recorded in 1926, is called "Quadrille canadien -- 5ème partie," while the second, recorded in 1930 with an added third part, was released as "Quadrille du peuple 5ème partie."
