The tune is known as "Le reel du pont de l'etang" (Pond Bridge Reel) in northeast New Brunswick where it was in the repertories of Acadian fiddlers Merel Chiasson, Andre "à Toto" Savoie and Étienne Laroque, according to Devon Leger.
